About the Event

During this mastermind study of Napolean Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, you will experience the power participating in a group of successful, like-minded women can have on your life.  Where the group's success is measured not by what each individual receives but by what they contribute.

As a participant, you will complete an online DISC assessment and receive a comprehensive report outlining your unique style of communications, strengths in 7 key influence areas, natural response to conflict, and ideal work style.  Prior to the mastermind, you will complete a 1-on-1 debrief with me to unpack your report.

The group will meet bi-monthly starting on Thursday, February 11, from 7 to 9 pm for eight sessions (in person) at 428 N Sixth St in Quincy.

What is a Mastermind?

The Mastermind Group is a process made famous in the 1930s by author Napolean Hill who spent 20 years interviewing and meeting 25,000 people to discuss the principles of success, achievement, and personal growth. Five hundred of those people were the most recognized leaders, innovators, and creators of their time, names like Rockefeller, Edison, and Ford. Hill identified 13 principles to the secret of achievement, and one of those was the mastermind. A group of intentional, like-minded people all come with a common purpose to themselves and each other. The common purpose to themselves is whatever their life purpose, vision, and goals are. The common purpose to each other is to add value, lift each other up, and to contribute. In fact, the success of the meetings is determined not by what the members get but by what the members contribute.

In order to do that, it takes each member coming to the sessions with three things:

  1. A servant's heart – A willingness to have premade the decision they are going to contribute when there is an opportunity to share an insight or takeaway.
  2. They must come with an open mind - That anything is possible.
  3. Lastly, come with a beginner's mind.

In Erik Hoffer's book, True Believers, he said, "in times of change the learners inherit the earth while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with the world that no longer exists."   Are we in a time of change? Most definitely. During times of change, learners, people who are willing to discover and explore not just new things about the world but about themselves as well, will succeed.   "Where the learned find themselves equipped to deal with the world that no longer exists." When we have the mindset that we already know all the answers, we limit and stunt our growth. The fact is the world is going to change.
